“A Field of Amethyst”, an oil floral painting, is inspired by our local remarkable tulip gardens here, in Holland, Michigan, just a few miles from my home studio. I am truly lucky indeed! The Veldheer Tulip Gardens titled me: “Artist in Residency”. During Tulip Time Festival you can always find me there, among delightful tulips. I love painting them in watercolor to represent exceptional fluidity in colors and in oils to mirror their most vibrant energy of the spring.
