This expressive Rose Painting, titled "Passion," is a striking piece that reimagines the classic rose painting in a bold and contemporary style. In my intention to reflect all the passion this flower holds for centuries I decided to use a rare painting technique such as drippings using oil paint medium. It was certainly a very risky decision as it could totally ruin everything I had been painting for hours. To my greatest surprise and joy, those gentle paint runs created such soft mixtures of pink color and added immense soulfulness- my goal had been achieved.
